Overview :
The installation of a 375 and 300dia PVC sewer main through Stoke as a continuation from the NCC Seaview Road Project. This project required trench shoring for the duration due to the depths being excavated (up to 4.3m).

Specific Scope :
  - Installation of 520m of 375dia PVC & 310m of 300dia sewer main's through residential streets in Stoke up to depths of 4.5m.
  - Installation of 13 x 1050dia manholes up to 4.5m in depth.
  - Installation of 2 x 1350dia grit-trap manholes.
  - The use of large machinery and trench shields to accommodate the depths required in tight residential streets required
    extra care and skill from staff to ensure both members of the public and staff remained safe.
  - Due to Newall Ave having traffic Islands that wouldn't allow the use of machinery while maintaining traffic flow and the
    Railway Reserve (pedestrian and cycle way) having a large volume of traffic a road closure was implemented and timed for construction
    and reinstatement during the school holiday period and was completed successfully in the two week time frame.
  - Extensive pressure testing & CCTV of newly laid sewer mains to gain council "sign off" so live sewers could be connected
    as the construction process continued.
  - Connection to existing council main and cut overs of previously installed and unused sections of new mains that had been
    waiting for the commissioning of this line.
