Ching Contracting Plant and Depot.

Plant and Equipment.
Ching Contracting Ltd maintains an extensive inventory of modern plant and equipment.
All of our plant is serviced regularly, either externally by approved service agents or by our own in-house A-grade mechanic ensuring our plant is well maintainined and reliable.
We run a comprehensive fleet database that tracks finance and running costs as well as repair and maintenance costs for each of our major plant items and also ensures that all items of plant have current WOFs/COFs, RUCs and Registrations. The cost information is regularly reviewed by management and allows us to maintain a replacement programme for our major plant items ensuring that out fleet is reliable and cost effective for both Ching Contracting and our clients.

The major items of plant we currently have in our fleet are:

 - 10 x Excavators ranging in size from 20 tonnes to 1.7 tonnes.
 - 2 x Wheeled Loaders - 7 tonne and 5 tonne.
 - 2 x Rollers - 7 tonne and 3 tonne.
 - 1 x 6x4 Tipper Truck.
 - 1 x 4x2 Tipper Truck.
 - 4 x Light trucks.
 - 22 x Light Utilities.
 - 1 x 3000 litre Watercart.
 - 1 x 4 axle transporter trailer.
 - 3 x Hurner full CNC Butt Fusion Welders & 2 x Electrofusion Welders.
 - 1 x 150mmØ (6 inch) Selwood Pump (Quiet Solution).
 - 1 x 10kVa Three Phase Generator.

Additionally we carry a full complement of associated small plant including compactors, pumps, generators, concrete saws, concrete core drill, portable traffic lights, pipe lasers and testing equipment.

Depot.
Ching Contracting operates out of a modern office, workshop and yard facility which was purpose built for our business in 2003. The depot is located at 12 Echodale Place in Stoke, Nelson, a location which is centrally located and allows us to effectively service both the Nelson City and Richmond / Tasman District areas.
