Ching Contracting Staff.

At Ching Contracting we recognise that our most valuable asset is our staff and the ongoing success of our business is reliant on us maintaining a stable, qualified and experienced work force.

Management Staff.
Ching Contracting's Management team is made up of four Contract Managers (Production) and three Administration Staff consisting of our Business Manager and two Accounts Staff.

All of our contract managers all have formal qualifications ranging from New Zealand Certificates in Engineering (NZCE), Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. Civil) and most recently a Dimploma in Highway Engineering.
Complementing these qualifications our managers have significant practical experience in the civil contracting industry. Our contract managers have the knowledge, experience and expertise to effectively manage the most technically demanding projects.

Field Staff.
Ching Contracting employ around 25 full time staff in the field made up of registered drainlayers, plant operators, general labourers, a yard manager and an A grade mechanic. Our field staff are highly skilled and experienced and many have, or are currently completing formal qualifications.

Qualifications currently held, or being completed, by our staff are:

 - National Certificate in Infrastructure Pipelaying.
 - National Certificate in Water Reticulation - (Serviceperson - Level 3).
 - National Certificate in Water Reticulation - (Supervisor - Level 4).
 - National Certificate in Road Opening (Site co-ordinator - Level 3).
 - National Certificate in Civil Plant Operation.
 - National Certificate in Civil Construction Works.
 - NZ Unit Standards for Butt Fusion and Electrofusion Welding of PE Pipes.

All staff hold current first aid certificates and the majority also hold current TC or STMS qualifications for temporary traffic management on our work sites.

Ching Contracting Ltd maintains a programme of Health and Safety training. The health of all employees is monitored annually to detect any decline in vision, hearing and lung function that may be resulting from their workplace activities. An immunisation programme is in place to protect staff against common infectious diseases and to allow us to work on public water supply systems and in high-risk environments.

Our staff who are trained and specialise in working on infrastructure water reticulations also have current waterbourne disease clearance.
